Harry's Wood Material For Blender Cycles

My custom wood material for Blender Cycles. (Now updated with better texture mapping!) Perfect for any object that needs to look like it's made of wood. I've made this as easy to use as possible, and you can control the roughness, varnish amount, apply a realistic looking paint layer, and even optional hand painted textures with an alpha channel. In the example file some different options are set up for you to play with.

You can plug in any image with an alpha channel to create the look of a painted-on layer, like the smiley faces in the example, and it automatically creates the slightly raised 3D effect of the paint.
